The day started with a stop at Snow-line Orchard for some mini cider donuts and coffee while looking for photo opportunities in the surrounding apple orchards.
We then moved on to Los Rios Rancho. Los Rios has a BBQ, Deli and Bakery, country gift shop and u-pick opportunities for Pumpkins and Red Delicious and Granny Smith apples. At this time of year the places are very crowded especially at lunch time. We skipped the indoor food options for hot dogs and roasted corn eaten on the spacious front lawn.
After lunch we went on a small but sometimes steep hike through the Wildlands Conservancy Nature trails looking to photograph some fall color. At the end of the hike I felt like I earned those cider donuts..
